| 818-669-4456, TONY This is a 1968 4 door 250se, 6cyl, fuel injected. This car is all original, I am the third owner. I bought this car few months ago from vine country, Sonoma, up north of San-Francisco and drove it myself all the way to LA 85-90mil/hr, no problem. The first owner, I have been told, was a vine maker in Sonoma. In 1992 he sold this car to his neighbor and he had it since, before I have purchased it. I have all the original manuals and even the metal plate that came whit this car at the time. This vehicle has the original black plates and the original Europa Becker radio, that still works. I have done some work on the interior as well as the engine. I have replaced the carpets, refinished all the wood to the pristine condition , as well as upgraded the dash and the door inner-panel top covers and the mid section between the doors to the full black suede wrap. The sits are all original and clean as brand new, never touched that. It also comes with AC, that needs just a charge. The paint on this car is the original color, but was repainted about 1 year ago by previous owner, so it looks very clean and elegant. All the chrome is there and shiny . On the engine end of it I have replaced the motor mounts and sub-frame mounts, as well as the water pump, gear box, front crank seal, full tune up and all four shocks are brand new. All work done by Tri-Star Motors in Glendale. The transmission shifts sweet and on time. I also added a ivory steering wheel, I think it looks so much better than the original, black one. This white wheel comes with few minor dry-cracks that are usual for this type of the vehicle, however, it could be replaced with original if need it to. I personally love the white steering. Over all this car is in its top condition, that one would not expect to have for a 40 year old car. I drive this car every day and it amazes me how technologically, Mercedes is always ahead of its time. I mean fuel injection, electrical sunroof in 1968? Wow! Anybody interested in this car please do not hesitate to call me at 818-669-4456, Tony. Love to show the “beauty“, come down and see it for yourself! |
